We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our litigation team.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in New York plaintiff’s personal injury litigation and be capable of managing cases independently from intake through trial. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional organizational skills, and can effectively support attorneys throughout every stage of litigation, as well as act independently with confidence and skill.
Responsibilities
- Manage plaintiff’s personal injury cases from intake through resolution.
- Draft, prepare, and file:
- Summonses and Complaints
- Bills of Particulars
- Pleadings and other litigation documents
- Discovery demands and responses
- Motions, including motions to compel, default judgments, summary judgment motions, and related applications
- Coordinate and maintain litigation deadlines and court calendars.
- Prepare attorneys for court conferences, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files while ensuring compliance with all court deadlines.
- Electronically file documents through the New York State Courts Electronic Filing (NYSCEF) system.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of plaintiff’s personal injury paralegal experience in New York.
- Strong working knowledge of New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR) and litigation procedures.
- Proficiency with NYSCEF electronic filing is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple matters and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
